Service Description
This service is designed for cats with severe matting, tight tangles, or coat conditions that cannot be safely managed through regular grooming. When mats are dense or close to the skin, they can cause pain, restrict movement, trap moisture, and lead to skin irritation or injury if not handled correctly. During the session, the focus is on safely removing matting and restoring comfort — not on cosmetic styling. Techniques are chosen based on your cat’s coat condition, skin sensitivity, and tolerance, with grooming paced carefully to minimize stress. In cases where mats cannot be brushed out without discomfort, clipping may be necessary for your cat’s well-being. The session includes a bath with hypoallergenic shampoo when appropriate, careful coat work to address matting, nail trimming, sanitary trim, and gentle cleaning of ears and paws. Every cat is groomed one-on-one, with full attention given to comfort and safety throughout the process. IMPORTANT: This service is required for cats with severe matting or compacted coats. If a cat arrives with significant matting booked under a regular grooming service, the appointment will be changed to this service and pricing will be adjusted accordingly. Cancellation Policy
🐾 Policies & Owner Agreement – Fur Season To ensure safety, comfort, and the best experience for your pet and our team, please review the following: 📅 Cancellations & Rescheduling Please give us at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations or changes made with less than 48 hours may be charged 50% of the service. No-shows will be charged 100% of the service and may require prepayment for future bookings. In case of emergencies, let us know as soon as possible—we may waive fees at our discretion. 🐕 Owner Responsibilities To keep your pet and everyone safe, please confirm: Vaccinations are up to date, including rabies. Any health conditions (like skin, heart, breathing issues) are disclosed. Any allergies, fears, biting, or behavioral issues are shared before the appointment. You're responsible for property damage caused by your pet. ❗If your pet has a history of aggression or fear, please let us know ahead of time so we can take proper steps. 🚫 Aggressive Behavior or Safety Risks If your cat becomes aggressive during grooming and causes injury to us or our assistant, we will stop the session immediately for everyone’s safety. The owner will be informed of what happened. No refund will be issued if a session is stopped due to aggression. If there are medical costs or damage, these may be covered from the service payment. ⚠️ Grooming Risks Grooming may uncover hidden conditions or cause minor nicks or scratches, especially with mats. Removing mats can cause irritation, redness, or hot spots. We’ll guide you on aftercare. We may need to trim the hair shorter than expected if there are tangles or mats. Our team always works with care, but services are performed at the owner’s risk. 📸 Photos & Marketing We may take photos of your pet before or after grooming to use on social media or for internal records. Let us know if you'd prefer we don’t share your pet’s photos online.
